The RHINOTM Wet Waste Interceptor is a robust, dedicated and self-contained unit that is both easy to install and use. 
No maintenance is required other than the changing of filter bags, and that can be accomplished in less than a minute. 
Construction is extremely durable and construction materials are both robust and wear resistant - it will not corrode, crack, leak, or degrade.

SPECIAL NOTE
 
Two RHINOTM units should be used in tandem with two or more sinks to allow proper filtration.
The RHINOTM is guaranteed to remove all but the most minuscule of food particles and, and when used with or without a grease trap, up to 90% of wet waste solids and up to 75% of grease and oil is removed from waste water. This wet waste is easily contained in special, inexpensive filter bags that can be disposed of with regular garbage and/or composted.

General Installation Recommendations
 
1. Installation should be made as close as possible to the wet waste source.
2. When installing, ensure you have easy access to the lid in order to ease filter change.
3. Install adequate vented waste line if necessary (follow your local building code).
4. Install piping on an adequate slope to allow for favourable gravity operation.
5. Tighten all fittings to ensure no leakage.
6. Do not divert water from a dishwasher through the RHINOTM unit.
7. Ensure proper filter change frequency to prevent back-ups.
8. Leave all documentation material with the installation for further reference.
9. Do not use any chemical that would have an adverse effect on the following: building piping (follow your local building code); filter bag (nylon construction); or the unit and components (high density polyethylene).

Filtration Bags
 
RHINOTM filtration bags are inexpensive and very easy to remove, dispose of, and replace - there’s no fuss or mess and the whole process can take less than a minute.  
The specially designed membrane of the filter traps wet waste scraps and grease, while allowing water to escape at its natural flow rate. 
As wet waste solids and grease accumulate, the filter bag expands – filtration bags will not break, or lose effectiveness.
